How verba scores a visit: emotion, competence, growth
The full methodology, in detail. What is measured, from which signals of the visit, how the score is calculated and how it helps the doctor grow. This page is the reference the product links to.
An objective mirror of the visit, not an opinion
Verba does not “grade the doctor”. It turns what actually happened in the conversation into structured observations against clear criteria — which the doctor and the clinic can check.
From the conversation, not forms
The basis is the visit transcript. No subjective checklists “from memory” — only what was actually said.
By transparent criteria
Each measure breaks down into concrete signals. The doctor sees exactly what and why.
In the UAE, private
Analysis runs on servers in the UAE. The visit recording and report never leave.
Emotional intelligence
How the doctor builds rapport with the patient and leads them emotionally through the visit.
What is assessed
- Empathy & support — acknowledging the patient's feelings, responding to worry and pain.
- Active listening — doesn't interrupt, clarifies, returns to the patient's words.
- Tone & calm — warmth, without pressure or dismissiveness.
- Engagement — involves the patient in the decision, checks they understood.
- Handling anxiety — how it responds to fear, doubt, objection.
How it's measured
Key cues are pulled from the transcript: the doctor's questions, pauses for the patient, acknowledging emotion, plain-language explanations. Each signal gets a score on a scale, and together they form the measure's overall score.
Clinical competence
How complete and structured the visit is from a medical-logic standpoint.
What is assessed
- History completeness — whether key complaints, history and risk factors were collected.
- Protocol adherence — how the visit matches the clinic/specialty standard.
- Clarity of explanation — whether the diagnosis, plan and prescriptions were explained clearly.
- Handling doubts — whether the patient's objections and questions were addressed.
- Safety — whether red flags, warnings or contraindications were missed.
- Visit structure — complaint → exam → plan → agreements.
How it's measured
Verba checks the visit against a configurable specialty checklist: which blocks should appear. Some criteria are share-completed (%), some are quality on a scale. The clinic sets the benchmark.
Growth & development
Not a snapshot but a trajectory: where the doctor is strong, what to work on, and what to do next.
Trend over time
How the scores change week by week and month by month. The effect of training and feedback is visible.
Strengths & growth areas
What's consistently strong and where dips repeat — by concrete criteria, not “in general”.
Personal recommendations
Concrete steps: what to try in the next visits. A development plan, not a verdict.
From the conversation to a final score
Signals from the visit
Key cues per criterion are pulled from the transcript — what was said and how.
Criteria scoring
Each criterion gets a score (1–5 scale) or a completion share (%). Weights are set by the clinic.
Score & trend
Criteria fold into three measure scores and an overall visit score; the doctor's trend builds up over time.
Scales, criteria and weights are configurable; the values on this page are examples.

For development, not punishment
The report is shown first of all to the doctor. The goal is growth, not finding fault. Criteria are transparent, a score can be challenged, and the feature can be configured or switched off for specific specialties.
